From that very first roast in 2005 to today, our love and excitement for the coffee industry hasn’t wavered, only increased (if that’s possible?)  

As a boutique, specialty roaster we source the highest quality beans to handcraft and roast our blends and single origins to our specific recipe ensuring the consistent taste and quality for which we’re known and loved.   From the beginning we have always committed to sourcing beans that are Organic, Fair Trade, or Rainforest Alliance. For us the question of sustainability is a case of ‘why wouldn’t you’?

At Bun Coffee, it is important that we take our responsibility to the environment and our commitment to sustainability seriously. We are committed to continually finding ways to improve our methods and packaging. We also have 100% compostable coffee pods and all of our shipping packaging can be recycled.

All of our Gold Coast coffee beans are either organic, Fair Trade or Rainforest Alliance certified. This means that they can be traced right back to the farm so that you know everyone involved has a good work environment and fair pay.

When creating an ethical product, we didn’t want our customers to have to pay extra, that is why our coffee is still competitively priced. You can enjoy the quality flavour of your coffee while knowing that you chose to support an ethical product.

Making a Difference

Around 75% of Australians drink at least one cup of coffee a day. That is a lot of coffee and as specialty coffee roasters, not only did we want to contribute positively by ensuring that our coffee is high quality, but also by ensuring that everything we do supports and protects both the environment and the farmers and communities that grow coffee beans. We support farmers and their communities by ensuring that all our blends are Certified Organic, Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance or are Australian grown.
